Gina Clapprood, a Rhode Island native and founder of Air & Aura, built her career as the indispensable “right-hand woman” to COOs and CEOs. “In Rhode Island, I worked in human resources under the operations sector,” she explains. “Alongside my full-time role, I ran workshops coaching professionals on how to delegate their workloads effectively.”

Spotting a gap in the market, Clapprood noticed that while her advice was practical, her clients’ biggest hurdle was the lack of reliable help. “It’s incredibly hard for people to schedule doctor’s appointments, pick up dry cleaning, or handle light housekeeping when they’re at work all day,” she said. Even simple tasks like waiting on customer service calls can consume hours; these tasks are what she is eager to manage, along with more personal errands. “In the beginning, I took on babysitting and running errands, and I genuinely enjoyed lifting that burden off people’s shoulders.”

After relocating to the Spartanburg area in December 2024, Clapprood rebranded her business and embraced the chance to work for herself in a fresh market. Her biggest entrepreneurial lesson has been embracing ebbs and flows without taking anything for granted. “It’s vital to keep building exposure, even if results aren’t immediate,” Clapprood advised. “It always pays off down the line.”
