SC DOT to Hold Virtual Public Information Meeting on Transit Plan

Posted

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is developing a Statewide Transit Plan to identify public transportation needs and shape how the state partners with local transit providers. The plan will identify ways to improve transit coordination, support economic growth, and help people reach jobs, health care, schools, and other important destinations.

Community input and stakeholder feedback will guide SCDOT's policies and programs affecting local transit services.

SCDOT will hold a virtual public information meeting at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 5, 2026. Department officials will share a brief presentation on South Carolina's existing transit needs, challenges, and opportunities, and residents are invited to share their feedback with the plan development team.
