WYFF 4 Finishes February As Top Station In Market

 WYFF 4 recently wrapped up the February sweep as the No. 1 local station in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville-Anderson market.

Viewers tuned in for a month packed with programming, from the Milan-Cortina Olympics to Super Bowl 60.

“February at WYFF 4 was legendary,” said Blake Bridges, WYFF 4 president and general manager. “We watched 17 days of thrilling moments during the Milan-Cortina Olympics, along with Super Bowl 60 and NBA All-Star Weekend. As we move forward, WYFF 4 will continue to provide our viewers with top-tier entertainment and live sports programming, along with the important local news coverage they trust.”

February ratings highlights include:

  • WYFF 4 was the #1 station in every key demographic and outperformed the other three main broadcast stations combined with Adults 25-54.

  • Super Bowl Sunday reached more than 782,000 local Adults 18+, and with the Winter Olympics, NBA and big news wins, WYFF 4 reached more than 1,000,000 Adults 18+ for the sweep.

  • The top five regular local newscasts with Adults 25-54 were on WYFF 4, including WYFF News 4 at 6PM. It was the top overall local newscast in that demo and topped the other three M-F 6PM newscasts combined.

  • WYFF 4 led weekday morning news 4:30-7AM with Adults 25-54, Adults 18-49, Adults 35-64, Adults 18+ and TV households.

  • WYFF News 4 at 6AM was the top weekday morning newscast with Adults 25-54, Adults 18-49, Adults 35-64, Adults 18+ and TV households.

  • WYFF News 4 at 5PM and WYFF News 4 at 5:30PM joined WYFF News 4 at 6PM to deliver the top three evening newscasts in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49.

  • WYFF News 4 at 11PM was the #1 late newscast in February in all key demographics and is more than double the next closest 11PM newscast with both Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49.

  • WYFF News 4 at 6PM Saturday was 41 percent higher than its closest competitor with Adults 25-54.  WYFF News 4 at 6AM on Saturday and Sunday beat all competitors combined with key viewers.

  • The Today Show shined during the February sweep with big performances from Italy.  It won every key demographic in the sweep and was 49 percent higher than the next closest station with Women 25-54.

  • NBC Nightly News was higher than the other three main broadcast stations combined M-F 6:30-7P with Adults 25-54.

  • During the Olympics dates, 43 of the top 50 individual programs with Adults 25-54 were on WYFF 4.

  • WYFF 4 was higher in prime time than the other five local broadcast stations combined with Adults 25-54 and won all key demographics by wide margins.

WYFF 4 is Hearst Television’s NBC affiliate station in the nation’s 36th television market, Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson-Asheville.
