Tim Pearson

Tim Pearson is president of Duke Energy’s utility operations in South Carolina, which serves approximately 855,600 electric retail customers and 168,800 natural gas customers. He is responsible for the financial performance of Duke Energy’s regulated utilities in the state, as well as leading state and local regulatory and government relations, and community affairs. He also has responsibility for advancing the company’s legislative and regulatory initiatives related to its electric operations. Prior to assuming his current position in November 2024, Pearson first served as a valuable part of the Duke Energy team as an adviser and consultant before joining the company full time as vice president of government affairs in 2023. In that expanded role, he was integral in advancing the conversation around energy policy in South Carolina.
