Sara Hazzard

Sara Hazzard is president and chief executive officer of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA). She will serve as the president and CEO of the South Carolina Manufacturers and Commerce effective Jan. 1, 2026. Hazzard, a well-known advocate and voice for the state’s 6,000 manufacturers and their more than 300,000 employees, was appointed to SCMA’s top leadership role after spearheading SCMA government relations for more than a decade. A member of the Presbyterian College Board of Trustees, Hazzard previously served on the boards of the South Carolina Economic Developers Association, Sustain SC, and the Palmetto Center for Women, which she also chaired. Gov. Henry McMaster appointed Hazzard to the statewide taskforce that responded to the Covid-19 pandemic. Hazzard is also Port Ambassador for the South Carolina Ports Authority.
