Palmetto Goodwill and Google Team Up for No-Cost Career Training and Certification

Palmetto Goodwill is partnering with Google and its STAR (Skilled Trades and Readiness) Program to offer an intensive four-week training program at no-cost. This training initiative is designed to turn everyday job seekers into certified fiber optics professionals – and no prior experience is required. Spots are limited for this small cohort. What Makes This Program Different? This is a comprehensive career launch pad offering several valuable and in-demand certifications in addition to the core fiber optic training including: BICSI Installer I, OSHA 10 Construction certification, First Aid and CPR certification, and Forklift certification. Class participants will also have full access to support from Palmetto Goodwill career navigators who provide professional skills development, interview preparation, resume optimization, and employer networking opportunities.
