Leadership Columbia Seeks Proposals From Nonprofits From Class Project

The Columbia Chamber’s flagship leadership program, Leadership Columbia, is requesting proposals for the LC Class of 2027 class project. Each year, the LC class chooses a project that can create a positive impact on the community.

To submit a proposal, an organization must be a nonprofit located within the Chamber’s six-county area: Richland, Lexington, Fairfield, Kershaw, Calhoun, and Newberry Counties. Proposals must be submitted online HERE no later than Friday, August 21, 2026 at 5:00PM.

The project will be carried out by approximately 65 candidates in the Leadership Columbia Class of 2027 and will be completed by May 2027.

The Leadership Columbia Advisory Board will host two virtual office hour sessions to assist interested nonprofits on Tuesday, July 28, at 10 a.m. and Wednesday, August 12, at 2:30 p.m. These sessions are designed to answer questions and help guide organizations through the RFP process. Each year, the Columbia Chamber’s flagship leadership program, Leadership Columbia, selects a class project that aims to make a lasting, positive impact on the Midlands community. To be eligible, organizations must be nonprofits located in one of the Chamber’s six-county region: Richland, Lexington, Fairfield, Kershaw, Calhoun, or Newberry Counties.
