Countybank announced that LaZarius Tinsley has joined its Small Business Administration (SBA) Department. Based at Countybank’s Greenville Mortgage Office on Pelham Road, Tinsley will serve small business owners across the Greenville, Charleston, Spartanburg, and Anderson areas.
In his role, Tinsley will work closely with small business owners to help them secure SBA financing to start, acquire, or grow their businesses. His goal is to simplify what can often be a complex lending process through clear, direct communication and customized solutions with Countybank’s full range of commercial resources.
“My goal as an SBA lender is to help small business owners find the right financing while making the process simple and transparent,” said Tinsley. “I come from a family where small business ownership was a way of life. My father built a successful small-town welding business, and that shaped my passion for working with the people who drive America. I value clear and honest communication, and I lead with a listen-first mentality so I can understand each client’s needs and put them in a position to thrive.”
“We’re thrilled to have Lazarius join our SBA team,” said Jordan Payne, SBA Business Development Manager. “His financial background, energy, and sales experience are going to help grow and strengthen our relationships with customers in the community.”
Tinsley earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Limestone University, graduating in 2019. He began his career in mortgage banking where he developed a foundation in credit analysis and risk assessment, which he now applies to SBA lending. He resides in Simpsonville, South Carolina where he is active in the community, currently serving on the board of Spartanburg Young Professionals and the board for Community Health Awareness Day.
