Kipp Group Establishing U.S. Headquarters in Laurens County

Kipp Group, an alliance of German companies, announced it is establishing its U.S. headquarters in Laurens County.

The company’s $12.2 million investment will create 19 jobs, according to Gov. Henry McMaster’s office.

Founded in 1919, Kipp Group is a family-owned business that manufactures products for the standard elements, operating elements and clamping technology sectors.

The company has over 1,000 employees across its more than 30 locations worldwide.The new 70,000-square-foot facility in the Woodfield Industrial Park in Fountain Inn will serve as the Kipp Group’s U.S. headquarters and distribution center.

“Laurens County offers the ideal combination of skilled workforce, infrastructure and business-friendly environment. We are excited to become part of this vibrant community and look forward to building strong partnerships across the region,” said Kipp Group CEO Nicolas Kipp.

Operations are expected to be online in January 2027.The state’s Coordinating Council for Economic Development awarded a $100,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund grant to Laurens County to assist with the costs of site preparation and building construction.
