Coastal Precast Systems Announces Laurens County Operation

Posted

Coastal Precast Systems, LLC (Coastal Precast Systems), a manufacturer of precast and prestressed concrete components for bridge and marine infrastructure, announced it has selected Laurens County for its first South Carolina operation. The company’s approximately $9 million investment will create about 70 new jobs.

For more than 75 years, Coastal Precast Systems has supplied a variety of concrete materials to the construction industry, including precast bridge components, building structures and marine projects. The company is headquartered in Chesapeake, Virginia, and has existing plants in North Carolina and Virginia.

“Coastal Precast Systems is proud to establish our first South Carolina operation in Laurens County,” said Paul Ogorchock, the company owner. “This facility will expand our ability to deliver high-quality precast and prestressed components for bridge and marine infrastructure across the Southeast. We appreciate the partnership of the state of South Carolina and Laurens County, and we look forward to creating skilled manufacturing jobs and becoming an active, long-term member of the community.”

Coastal Precast Systems’ new manufacturing facility, located at 308 Commerce Ave. in Clinton, will produce precast concrete components for infrastructure, utility and commercial construction projects throughout the Southeast. The operation will support the company’s growing customer demand by increasing its regional production capacity.

Operations are expected to be online in the third quarter of 2026. Individuals interested in joining the Coastal Precast Systems team should visit the company’s careers page.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits related to the project.
