I am a nonprofit development leader serving as director of development for the American Heart Association in Upstate South Carolina. With nearly a decade of experience in nonprofit and higher education fundraising, I am known for building meaningful relationships, driving revenue growth, and creating strategies that turn community engagement into lasting impact. I have also strengthened partnerships with corporate, civic, and philanthropic leaders throughout the Upstate. A passionate community connector and advocate for women’s heart health, I am committed to using my leadership and relationship-building skills to create meaningful impact across South Carolina. I hold a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications and Bachelor's of Strategic Communications from West Virginia University.

Favorite Quote and Why: “You just can’t beat the person who won’t give up.” — Babe Ruth. This is my favorite quote because there have been a lot of times in my career journey where I wanted to give up; however I persevered. The outcome was always more success and more growth. I think sometimes adversity helps catapult us into our ultimate destiny.

Definition of a Successful Leader: I believe that the definition of a successful leader is having empathy for those around you. It’s important to be able to relate to others and care for them on a human level. By doing this, you can motivate people to become their best versions!

Advice to 18-Year-Old Self: Trust the process. Embrace the highs and lows and always look for a lesson you can learn.
